La Motte Brut
La Motte Méthode Cap Classique from Franschhoek, is produced from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. This MCC was matured on the lees for 36 months and is “Brut Natural” with no sweetening added during degorgement. Only 3 500 bottles were released.

A Sauvignon Blanc made from grapes originating from vineyards in Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and the Cape South Coast. Thanks to the varying terroirs, climates and use of different clones, the various distinctive grapes each make make a unique contribution to the character of this wine. Blended with a splash of Semillon for added complexity.

La Motte Chardonnay
La Motte is one of three wine estates owned by the Rupert family. It is a leading wine producer and sought-after tourist destination in Franschhoek. Grapes for the Chardonnay originate from vineyards lying 200 metres above sea-level, and are whole-bunch pressed and part fermented and matured in French oak barrels.

La Motte Millennium
The visionary late Dr. Anton Rupert registered the Millennium™ trademark in 1988, it was also the first vintage of the La Motte Millennium™. This elegant Claret-style red has been synonymous with the culture and quality of La Motte. The blend consists of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The different components were matured separately for 12 months in old 300L French oak barrels.

La Motte Cabernet Sauvignon
An elegant, typically South African styled, Cabernet Sauvignon, designed to reflect this noble varietal's, true characteristics. To promote complexity, grapes from different origins and clones were used, with grapes originating from vineyards in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Bot River. After barrel maturation, the different Cabernet Sauvignon lots and a small portion of Cinsaut was blended in for elegance.

La Motte Syrah
La Motte Syrah is a true expression of the Franschhoek terroir, where micro climates from the mountain slopes and valley floor add complexity to the wine’s elegant character. The wine was matured in 300L French oak barrels. To enhance colour and extraction, a portion of Durif (Petit Syrah) was added.

Inspired and named, after La Motte's owner, Hanneli Rupert. This wine is a benchmark reference for La Motte, in terms of excellence and its embrace of the South African winelands. A blend of Syrah, Grenache and Petit Syrah from various regions, matured for 40 months in 300L oak barrels. Only 3 300 bottles produced.

La Motte Pierneef Sauvignon Blanc
Part of La Motte’s premium wine range, which is a tribute to South African artist, JH Pierneef (1886 – 1957). Inspiration for the unique labels, comes from a limited edition of 128 Pierneef linocut prints, that are on display in the La Motte Museum. The wine includes a portion of Semillon, for added body and texture. Both the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are from Elim vineyards and are amongst the most southerly situated vineyards in Africa.

La Motte Pierneef Syrah Viognier
Forms part of La Motte’s premium Pierneef range, which is a tribute to South African artist, JH Pierneef (1886 – 1957). This wine is a blend of Syrah from Elim, and a splash of Viognier from Franschhoek. The wine was matured for 14 months in 300L barrels, before blending and further maturation.
