Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg mountain in Stellenbosch, Ken Forrester is commonly referred to as the 'Home of Chenin Blanc'. Ken Forrester’s philosophy is to create a range of handcrafted, individually made wines that reflect their origin and suitably compliment a wide variety of food styles and provide excellent value.

Ken Forrester Dirty Little Secret Four
Part of the cellar exclusives range. Made from grapes sourced from a very old dryland vineyard in the Piekenierskloof region planted in 1965. This wine delivers a tribute to the age and concentration of the vines allowing their typicity and specific character to shine. No cold stabilisation, fining or filtering - hence the 'Dirty Little Secret' name. Only 7 x 400L barrels produced of this stellar wine.

Ken Forrester The FMC
FMC, Forrester Meinert Chenin, is an icon wine, named after the owner of the winery (Ken Forrester), the winemaker (Martin Meinert) and the vine from which it was made (Chenin Blanc). A careful selection of up to 10 harvests through the same vineyard, naturally fermented in French oak and aged for a year in barrel on the lees. Only the best individual barrels are selected to go into the final wine. Available in extremely limited quantities.

Ken Forrester The Gypsy
This flagship blend, is dictated by a single vineyard block of Grenache, planted in 1959, in the Piekenierskloof region. Low yields with small, concentrated berries resulted in an extremely limited production. Syrah, completes the blend, and the wine underwent almost 3 years of barrel ageing, before being blended, then bottle matured for an additional 2 years.

Ken Forrester T Noble Late Harvest
Ken Forrester named this noble late harvest, in honour of his wife Teresa, known to her friends and family as ‘T'. Hand selected, Botrytised Chenin Blanc, was harvested from low yielding, old vines, averaging 40+ years. Maturation took place on the lees, with a total of 18 months in 400L French Oak barrels.

"Sparklehorse" is a 100% Chenin Blanc Cap Classique, with a vibrant merry-go-round theme packaging that captures the spirit of the funfair. This lively bubbly benefits from time on the lees, giving the wine a textured, creamy mouthfeel.

Ken Forrester Sparklehorse Nectar

Ken Forrester Wines has a superb reputation for Chenin Blanc, and this sparkling wine in the classic tradition is no exception. A carefully selected cool vineyard site allows the grapes to mature while maintaining the all important refreshing acidity. Made by the Cap Classique or traditional method, this wine aged for 29 months on lees to develop a creaminess and delicate mousse while still maintaining bright, fresh apple, pear and quince aromas. An ideal bubbly to celebrate with and equally at home with light creamy chicken and fish dishes.

Ken Forrester Sauvignon Blanc Reserve
To achieve the fruity character in this Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, grapes are hand picked from three vineyards, approximately 300 miles apart, giving the wine three unique flavour profiles. Extended lees contact after fermentation, increases the “creamy” character of this fruit driven wine.

Ken Forrester Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc
This Chenin Blanc is mostly from older vineyards planted in 1974, on the Ken Forrester family property in Stellenbosch. Hand harvested grapes are sorted into two selections – one batch, naturally fermented in French Oak Barrels and a second batch, fermented in Stainless Steel, before barrel ageing on lees. Shows depth of character and concentration of the fruit.

Ken Forrester Roussanne
Roussanne, the classic white Rhône grape, thrives in the Mediterranean climate in the Cape of Good Hope. Stellenbosch grapes are naturally fermented in large, old barrels to add richness and texture, with additional 12 months barrel maturation. A gorgeous and sensuous white wine, produced in very limited quantites.

Ken Forrester Three Halves
Winemaker Ken Forrester set his sights firmly on producing a great Mediterranean styled blend from fine Cape grapes. The Three Halves, is a red blend 'greater than the sum of the parts'. Mourvèdre (earthy) with a splash of Grenache (fruity) and a dash of Shiraz (spicy) were blended to create this Rhône influenced wine. Matured in 2nd fill French oak barrels for 18 months.
