Mulderbosch Brut

This, the second release of MCC from Mulderbosch, is a classic blend of the three Champagne varieties of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. What makes the Mulderbosch stand out, is the Pinot Meunier component that has been part barrel fermented and matured for 15 months, adding a certain opulence to the blend. 35 months of bottle maturation on the lees, makes this MCC is rich and complex. This Brut bubbly, has is no added dosage.

Mulderbosch Cabernet Sauvignon Sparkling Rosé

Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards are managed specifically with the idea of rosé production in mind. Early picking results in naturally high levels of acidity and a bright spectrum of fruit flavours. Once pressed, the juice is handled as per Sauvignon Blanc, to heighten the vibrant, zesty aromas and fresh mineral palate. Early bottling preserves the wine’s inherent freshness, with bubbles introduced using a state of the art in-line carbonation process.

Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc

Since its maiden vintage in 1992, Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc has cemented itself as a benchmark for New World Sauvignon Blanc and is subsequently celebrated for its longevity, finesse and true varietal expression with wonderfully rich and concentrated flavors. A third of the blend was matured on lees in neutral 500L French oak barrels.

Mulderbosch Steen op Hout Chenin Blanc

Innovative Mulderbosch was the first producer in the South Africa to successfully create a barrel-fermented style of Chenin Blanc, and so the ‘Steen Op Hout’ label was born. The harvest started as early as possible in order to harness the natural acidity that is so central to the character and freshness of Mulderbosch Chenin Blanc. A portion was fermented in a combination of 300L French Oak barrels and 1500L Foudres, with the remaining wine fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Mulderbosch Chardonnay

Mulderbosch wines are made from grapes from their own vineyards, in addition to several coastal origin and surrounding Stellenbosch sites. Always in search of unique vineyards, grown and harvested responsibly, that reflect the distinctive elements of the environment in which they grow. Recognising an opportunity to express a fresher, more fruitful character of the variety, Mulderbosch Chardonnay is typically lees aged for almost a year, in order to provide additional complexity and finesse.

Mulderbosch Faithful Hound Red

Mulderbosch Faithful Hound celebrates the virtues of Bordeaux’s great tradition of blending and aims to produce a rich, complex wine that comfortably expresses old world class with the generosity of fruit associated with Stellenbosch. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, each sourced from perfect sites in Stellenbosch. Gentle extraction and long maceration time are the hallmarks of the winemaking style, followed by 16 months barrel maturation.

Mulderbosch Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc Block W

Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc made from distinctive, exceptional vineyards that the Mulderbosch team has developed relationships with, in order to capture the unique qualities worthy of singular expressions of their site. All blocks were similarly harvested and processed. Block W from Rustenhof, has more acidity, less sugar and the lowest alcohol of the trio.

Mulderbosch Single Vineyard Cabernet Franc

This particular Mulderbosch single vineyard Cabernet Franc, consistently impresses. Aside from being an important component in the Faithful Hound red blend, it has also found a home as a single vineyard bottling. Aged for 17 months in 300L French oak barrels, half of which was in new oak.
